We are excited to announce that our ‘Global Hospitality Exchange’ project has once again been granted funding through the UK Government’s Turing Scheme!
Our project is aimed at students (18+) currently studying or who have recently completed a relevant course in the fields of travel, tourism and hospitality.
While these courses provide students with theoretical knowledge in the field, our traineeships will allow them to gain essential work experience and skills that will compliment their courses and boost their employment prospects.
The Traineeships
These 4 – 12 week traineeships within international 5-star hotels are a unique career-building opportunity. They will allow students to gain an insight into the practical aspects of hotel management, and enable an exchange of best practices.
The traineeships will take place in the following countries:
- Italy
- New Zealand
- Portugal
- Thailand
- The Bahamas
- The Netherlands
- Turkey
- USA
These countries have been carefully selected, as they are renewed tourist destinations with a vibrant hospitality sector that makes them excellent for students looking to broaden their horizons.
Global Britain
This project also supports ‘Global Britain’ by providing students with fully-funded opportunities to travel abroad and engage with different cultures while gaining crucial work experience. Additionally, it will enhance the UK national hospitality sector by adopting and sharing best practices.
These quality traineeships will improve student’s employment prospects, help tackle youth unemployment and decrease the number of young people categorised as NEET.
There is also additional funding available to support the participation of those with special educational needs (SEND) or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
