In December 2021, partners from Turkey, Portugal, Italy, UK, Slovenia, Romania and Poland met for the Erasmus+ Project We Are At Work Too TPM in Portugal! This Transnational Meeting was hosted by the Municipality of Torres Novas and was useful to assess this year’s achievements and plan the next phase of the project.
We Are At Work Too (BIZ) – The meeting
During our meeting, we assessed activities and materials created and we planned the next steps of the local project implementation.
We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed our LTTA in Slovenia this year and that we created useful training resources for teachers working with special needs students and parents of students with disabilities!
Each partner is planning local training events online and offline for both parents and teachers in early 2022 to disseminate the materials! These will include Family Education Programme Training and Supportive Vocational Education Modules as innovative tools for teaching students with disabilities.
We also discussed the final improvements for the WeAreAtWorkToo Website and e-learning platform, where users can have free access to the training materials, complete the courses in their language and receive a final certificate.
Finally, our hosting partner showed us around Torres Novas, its surroundings and CRIT association, which aims at the education, valorization and socio-professional integration of people with disabilities in Portugal.
It was very nice to meet all in-person despite the difficult situation! The meeting really helped strengthen the partnership and move forward with the project at a local level!

We Are At Work Too (BIZ) – The project
The project aims to offer families and educators innovative tools to guarantee children with intellectual disabilities greater autonomy and success.
The goal is to provide better social and self-care skills with a holistic approach for mentally disabled students in special education vocational schools. BIZ will increase their employability by providing a higher quality vocational education and help enter field-related labour market.
