Would you like to design your own comic book character? As part of our series of Erasmus+ funded FREE training courses and sessions, we are pleased to offer the opportunity to participants access half-day comic character design group activities.
HAWP Project, in conjunction with Mayamada present the chance for groups to express their creativity or simply try something new.
#BeCreative Academy is a social enterprise created by international manga brand mayamada.
With a passion for teaching creative thinking skills, they have developed workshops for 11-18 year olds, encouraging them to unleash their imaginations to create their own comic book story.
The sessions include:
- Group discussions
- Develop stories
- Develop and design characters
- Present story ideas
- Print your own comic book
Participants will:
- Improved verbal communication skills by explaining the concept of their work
- Develop presentation skills as they retell their stories in front of their peer
- Increase critical thinking skills through discussing each other’s ideas
- Improve written communication skills through developing their story
- Increase confidence through active participation in creative tasks
- Develop team working skills through collaborating to create a story
- Improve written communication skills through developing their story
- Increase confidence through active participation in creative tasks
Who can apply?
You can participate in any of the sessions if you are a;
- Parent of a child with disabilities
- Youth with disabilities
- Women from a migrant or refugee background
