Hanta Associates Ltd is the ‘lead organisation’ in the Hanta Consortium. In addition to its London office, the consortium has bases in both Ireland and the UAE and has forged an international network of organisations, partners and employers worldwide.
With over 13 years of experience and expertise, the consortium has been managing and implementing projects and initiatives at national, European and international levels, offering holistic, learner-centred support and tailored solutions to school, youth and adult groups. They specialise in high-quality training courses and work placement programmes, as well as projects tackling a variety of social issues such as youth unemployment, adult education, disability rights, social inclusion and empowerment for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Furthermore, Hanta is an expert in the development of resources including formal and non-formal training modules, digital platforms and materials.
In 2009, Hanta Associates Ltd assisted in delivering the UK government’s ‘Future Jobs Fund’ (FJF) Scheme on behalf of the Department of Work & Pensions, over two contract cycles from late 2008 to 2011. The FJF programme aimed to reduce the number of young people categorised as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) through government-subsidised work placements with local and regional employers. The consortium arranged 250 FJF job starts, resulting in long-term employment for the majority of the participants.
Over a 4 year period, Hanta Associates Ltd was responsible for facilitating hundreds of work placements and internships for vocational students on behalf of institutions from across Europe. These internships were in a number of sectors including hospitals, laboratories, media production, recruitment, sales, marketing, accounting, animal welfare, plus many more. They provide a 360-degree service from arrival to departure that includes not only sourcing the placements but providing holistic support throughout its duration, from arranging accommodation, and monitoring progress to training and evaluation.
Additionally, the consortium was part of an EaSi transnational partnership which focused on upskilling unemployed EU citizens aged 30+.
In recent years, the consortium has both coordinated and partnered on numerous Erasmus+ KA1 & KA2 projects.
These projects tackled numerous social and educational issues, such as:
- ESL (Early School Leaving)
- Teacher training
- Vocational education of students with disabilities
- Cultural heritage
- Migrants & refugees
- Youth unemployment
- Media literacy
- Family support (for parents of children with disabilities)
- Arts & Crafts
- Social entrepreneurship
- Women’s empowerment
- Health & substance misuse
In recent years, they have been instrumental in providing UK students opportunities to work abroad via the UK government’s Turing Scheme, forging partnerships with some of the world’s most prestigious 5 star hotel chains, from Italy to as far as New Zealand and the USA.
